The mission of AFM Parent Teacher Organization (AFM PTO) is to utilize the Montessori philosophy to promote a healthy, supportive, peaceful relationship among teachers, administrative staff, parents and our children.
The AFM PTO raises funds, plans and coordinates events and extracurricular activities to enhance the school’s sense of community. Additionally, the AFM PTO serves as a bridge of communication between the school administration, staff and families.
All Annie Fisher Montessori parents/guardians, staff and administrators are automatically members of the AFM PTO and are encouraged to volunteer at the many events hosted throughout the year. Seven executive board members are elected by the school community annually and can serve one, two-year term. The executive board meets monthly during the school year.
